BIG SANDY MEDICAL CENTER
Big Sandy Medical Center is a community owned health care facility. Services offered include a clinic, an eight bed Critical Access Hospital, a twenty-two bed skilled nursing home, and a home health agency.
The clinic is open Monday through Friday and is staffed by a physician and a family nurse practitioner. Nurses and office assistants support the medical providers.
The critical access hospital provides inpatient and outpatient services. Included is an emergency room that is always ready for any community emergency. Laboratory services, radiology services, and physical therapy services are provided and available anytime they are needed.
The skilled nursing home has twenty-two beds and provides for the elderly of the community. Services offered include physical therapy, activities, laundry, special dietary meals, social services, and a beauty shop.
Registered nurses and physical therapy provide Home Health Services. These services are provided to those clients that are home bound and need medical attention in their homes.
